The Snake Guardz's polycarbonate inserts encased in 1000 or 600 denier nylon fabric stop the fangs of poisonous snakes. Impact tested to ASTM test method F-1342-05, these Guardzs, like snake boots, protect to 18 inches high but they weight a mere 10 ounces. At 20 yards these Guardz stop a 12 gauge, full choke barrel shot blast loaded with 3-1-8 lead shot. A water resistance 1 ounce urethane film is applied to the inside of the fabric to stop water absorption and maintain this Guardz's lightweight. . Wear Snake Guardz loose around the leg in warm weather or snug them up with adjustable quick release buckles on two 1 inch polyester straps. Snake Guardz have a unique patented toe cover which covers the laces of a boot or shoe and prevents the possibility of snake fangs becoming tangled in shoelaces when struck.
