The AGM NVG-40 is a state-of-the-art, dual-channel night vision system designed for the most demanding night-time operations. Built with a compact composite housing for enhanced durability, it features advanced multi-coated optics for superior clarity. The NVG-40 is equipped with either a Gen 2+ high-performance image intensifier tube (IIT), ensuring high-quality vision in low-light conditions.

The device's bright light cut-off feature protects the high-quality photocathode tube, while the Manual Gain Control adjusts image brightness for optimal image quality in varying light conditions. The NVG-40 operates on a single AA alkaline battery or CR123A battery, providing up to 20 hours of operation. It also includes an integral infrared illuminator for reading in the dark.

The NVG-40 is designed for versatility, with a preinstalled NVG Interface Shoe for standard dovetail type headset and helmet mounts, and an included Bayonet/Horn Interface Shoe for standard bayonet/horn type headset and helmet mounts.
