Does the laser need to be charged ? Mine is not working. Thank you.
Yes — if you have Byrna’s newer red or green laser sight, it does need to be charged. It has a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery and charges through a USB-C port. Byrna rates it for up to about 2 hours of constant use.
So if the laser suddenly isn’t working, charging it would be the first thing I’d try. Plug a USB-C cable into the laser and a USB power source.
One exception: if you have the older Viridian E-Series laser made for the Byrna HD, that version uses a replaceable battery rather than USB-C charging
The power on this thing is immense! It would absolutely put an intruder or attacker down. Very easy to use, and the versatility of the different projectile types allows you to fight your own fight!
