Why is the display monitor so small. A 7 inch monitor screen would be ideal at minimum. Then it’s worth buying, unless you have an upgrade version or some king of adapters to connect to a larger monitor
So the Nightride does not come with a display monitor, it is just the thermal camera. But good news is it does connect to any size display via bluetooth or a wired connection. You can hook it up to your phone, ipad, or even a TV. My go to is my truck screen or an ipad pro :)

Will the magnets hold while driving highway speed? Are there any dangers with blooming from opposing car headlights or the sun?
Great Questions. Yes the magnets are strong enough for highway driving, I have done it with my 640-35 many times. And as far as light damage, since this is an infrared device there are no issues with that like night vision devices, so you could run it during the day with no issues

would the magnetic mount stick to a aluminum body?

Would this camera automatically record up to several hours and be able to download into computer, desktop or laptop? Such high cost is out of most of average people. When I have business, I can buy n tax write off as business operating expense. For now, price, about 3k with tax, is out of reach indeed!
